Chapter 2 » One Hundred Two

Ah, and soon we shall move to another scene. I picked up the book Classical Painting Atelier last week and it’s quite inspiring. Thinking very much about atmosphere, mood, contrast, and so on. Makes me wish I would’ve(or could now) gone to a classical art training atelier. Then again, if one is disciplined enough you could really do the same training at home. Though you wouldn’t have the input of a teacher.

I’m also reading The New Space Opera right now. A collection of short science fiction stories. Most are pretty good so far. A couple were so bogged down in minutia like alien species names’ and places and so on in the first few pages that it made me just skip to the next story. Some people like that money shot of massively thought out detail right out of the gate. Me, I like when someone draws me in with a story and sprinkles those type of details in at a nice pace. Anyway, worth the read if you’re so inclined.
